This June, our film program presents a series of films in honour of both Indigenous History Month and Pride Month. These films reflect on and examine themes of identity, sexuality, freedom, decolonization, human rights, intersectionality, grief, and healing from a wide range of Indigenous and 2SLGBTQ filmmakers.

This free community screening is presented in partnership with CINERGIE « Outside » the Walls.

CINERGIE is the only francophone film festival and one of the few entirely bilingual events in Saskatchewan. Festival CINERGIE is the perfect occasion to learn more about the world of francophone cinema and to discover its breadth, quality, and recognition at international festivals. Festival CINERGIE started in 2006 and is now in its 18th edition, continuing to grow. CINERGIE’s Official Festival Week will occur at the Roxy Theatre, in Saskatoon from May 9-14. Throughout the year we also host CINERGIE « Outside » the Walls Community Screenings and Family Screenings in venues within Saskatoon, such as Collège Mathieu, Saskatoon Public Library and Remai Modern.
