Kelly Van Damme is the Director of Learning & Engagement at Remai Modern. Since 2021, Kelly had led a team of artists and educators to provide meaningful art experiences to communities around Saskatoon and beyond. Prior to that, she held numerous roles in the museum’s education department, starting in 2004 at the museum’s predecessor the Mendel Art Gallery.

Kelly is passionate about art education and focuses on helping people learn about themselves through experiencing and making art. As a director, she supports the Learning & Engagement team to make a positive impact through art and reach diverse audiences. During her tenure, the department has grown to reach over 80,000 annual participants of all ages and deliver around 3,000 programs yearly both on site and in the community.

Previously, Kelly taught studio art and art education courses at the University of Saskatchewan and was a Free Flow Dance Theatre company dancer. She has participated in fundraising on Saskatoon Sexual Health’s Art Auction Committee since 2014.
